Michelle Alexander
Trainer

Michelle discovered her love of horses at the age of 7 in Michigan. After earning her first blue ribbon at a barn run horse show in the walk/ trot division there was no stopping her passion for horses and the sport. She spent the rest of her elementary and middle school years excelling in 4H learning showmanship, improving her riding abilities, and learning what it means to be a good horseman. Just before high school her family relocated to South Florida affording her the opportunity to enter into the AA show circuit in Wellington and train with one of the Team El Salvador's very own Diego Muyshondt.

In college, Michelle continued her strong commitment to the sport, riding with Michael Tokaruk in Memphis while going to school full time many hours away at Murray State University where she earned her degree in Architectural Engineering. Throughout her time in college she traveled and competed across the country with Tokaruk Farms up to 1.20m.
In 2020 she took a short break from the equestrian world while she started her own interior design and construction company Harmony Homes + Co. Over the last 5 years she has become a licensed general contractor and continues to run her design-build firm. Today she lives on a farm with her husband and two horses and is excited about passing on her knowledge and love of the sport to the next generation of riders.
