Is comfortable catching and bringing in a horse from pasture
-

Do you teach Western, English and Dressage disciplines?
Yes to different levels.
Can I bring treats for the horses?
Treats can be brought and given in a bucket only and with permission. Hand-fed treats can lead to aggressive treat seeking horses that can lead to finger injuries.
When it’s hot outside can I wear shorts for my riding lesson?
Unfortunately, no.
Legs need to be covered to reduce risk of rider injury. Yoga pants and other light-weight coverings are just fine.
Do I need to own a horse for lessons?
Not at all, we have lesson horses for all levels and sizes.
What if I want to learn more about horses and how to care for them without riding?
We offer horsemanship sessions to expand your knowledge and ensure
you are able to handle the horses in a manner that keeps you, the student and the horse safe.
CEC ECPro Tips for Booking a Lesson
We’re excited to share that we’re using an online booking and barn management
system hosted by EC Pro.
Since you are viewing our new website, it’s easy to just click "Book a Lesson" and it will
take you to the ECPro website for Carmel Equestrian. Access to booking a lesson,
event, or course is available outside of our website through the ECPro App or directly
through https://carmelequestriancenter.ecpro.us
-
Create an account then verify your email by clicking the automated link.
-
Login with your email and password details to "Add Riders" to your account by
clicking "Make a Booking" and following the prompts. (To add Multiple Riders to your account go to "My Account" then "Manage Riders").
-
A lesson booking fee of $3 is per transaction. Best to schedule several lessons in
one "cart" purchase to incur only one booking fee.
-
When a rider is added, we will receive notice to assign the rider a Grade level.
-
Your first private lesson will be used to determine the rider's level. Group lessons
require designated grades.
-
Navigate to our calendar to view our upcoming schedule and book sessions! If
you have any problems, please text us: 317.777.1119. The app has less
consistency, so if you see limited availability, please let us know and go through
the regular website link.
-
If you have a credit or tokens on your account, it will show up when you check
out with your next lesson.
-
You can schedule a lesson a minimum of 24 hours before the lesson start. Cancellations
need to be at least 48 hours before the start of the lesson to receive credit. For last
minute illnesses please text us!
-
Be sure to check for lesson availability regularly if you are looking for a specific
day/time. As instructors, weather, or horses change availability we may add lesson
spots.
-
We have learned how to reward the clients that have ridden weekly for at least
6 months and request a regular day/time. Their lessons are reserved up to one week before. If they do not book their regular spot it will open to any client.
