Alexis Cobb

Alexis Cobb grew up just outside Indianapolis and began riding at age 7. She started showing in 4-H competing in classes such as Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, Hunter Hack, Halter, Showmanship, and Contesting Classes (Barrels, Poles, etc). Because of her love for horses, Alexis attended Saint Mary of the Woods College (SMWC) from 2017-2021 majoring in Equine Studies and Psychology with a minor in Equine Assisted Therapy. Alexis rode on the SMWC IHSA Equestrian Team (Hunt Seat and Western) under the Coaching of Tabatha Taylor. During her time on the team Alexis had many accomplishments in the saddle including: Most Improved Rider (2019), Walk/Trot/Canter Regional Champion (2019), Walk/Trot/Canter Zone 7 Champion (2019), Top 16 2019 IHSA Nationals, Limit Fences Reserve Regional Champion (2021), Intermediate Flat Reserve Regional Champion (2021), Top 3 Tournament of Champions Low Medal (2021), Team Level 1 Horsemanship Champion (2021). 

After graduating from SMWC in 2021, Alexis moved to Lexington, Kentucky to continue her education at Midway University to pursue a Masters of Business Administration with an Equine concentration. She was the Graduate Assistant to the Midway University Western Equestrian Team. She helped aid the team to a 6th place finish at the 2022 IHSA Nationals and a Top 3 finish at the 2023 IHSA Nationals, in addition to many Individual National Championships and Top 10 finishes. Outside of grad school duties, Alexis was a working student for Kelsey Sloan, which allowed her to learn more about the hunter/jumper industry. After graduating with her Masters in 2023, Alexis moved back to Indiana and is currently the Director of Equine Events and Youth Programs at SMWC.
