Cassina_(951)_20230420_4933.JPG

Delaney Wright grew up in Oklahoma and began riding at the age of 10. She barrel raced for a little over a year before moving to her first hunter/jumper barn where she fell in love with jumping horses. Delaney quickly started showing in the hunters and equitation, while occasionally dabbling in the jumpers, at a handful of shows each year in zone 7.

By the time she was 19, she knew she wanted horses to be her full-time career. She started looking for her first working student job while also pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Management. During this time, Delaney had the opportunity to work under the tutelage of trainers such as Michael Tokaruk, Rick Fancher, Kyle Timm, and Kyle Dewar.

After working all over the east coast and getting the opportunity to show at top competitions, she decided to turn professional and was offered a job with Robert Blanchette of Blanchette Equestrian in California. Delaney worked for Robert for 3 years as an assistant trainer and FEI groom. While working there, she assisted Robert with his string of international show jumpers and was his right hand gal when he won both the Spruce Meadows Derby and the Sacramento World Cup Qualifier in 2023. All of this while training clients and their horses, and keeping her own in shape. She went on to work for John Bragg of Bridgeport farms, where she was an assistant trainer and rider.

Delaney has spent the last 8 years traveling the US training horses and clients, competing up to the Grand Prix level, and grooming at the international level. In 2020 Delaney established Wright Choice Farms, LLC and began importing horses to produce and sell. She completed her bachelor's degree in 2022.
