Owner

Welcome riders, friends, and family!
As the proud owner of Carmel Equestrian Center, I get to see the smiles of students, oversee all roles, identify needs, and ensure optimal care of our special horses and farm animals. The past 15 years have seen many
improvements, not the least is our current transformation.
I started riding when I was 6 years old, taking lessons for my birthday. My parents bought a dude ranch when I was 10 years old, changing my life trajectory. Growing up on a dude ranch gave me the confidence to manage a boarding and lesson barn. Steps along the way included rodeos, miles of trail riding, competing at the National Appaloosa Show, and then eventually supporting my two horse kids in their endeavors. I gained so many unforgettable memories with them as we hauled their horses around the country to enrich their horsemanship and riding skills. I am so very proud of the young professionals they have become.

Some of my mantras when faced with challenges running a horse farm include:
Listen and watch the horses – they will tell you what’s needed.
Challenges are just character-building moments -
I am rich with character.
It takes a team, so surround yourself with great people.
Sit and breathe in the moments – appreciate the joy that life on the farm brings.
